I did a lot of mobility work today spread out through the day as well as a little testing on a couple of the movements.
Last night before leaving the gym I threw up 225lbs for an Overhead Squat with no warmup. I thought that I’d do the same on saturday depending on how much of a warmup I’d be able to do but after speaking to Kevin O Malley today I have a different strategy.
Today I loaded the bar to 245lbs and did an Overhead Squat with no warmup what so ever. This is going to be my opener on the day, again depending on how much of a warmup I’m able to do.
I’m going to hit 245, 275 and then maybe attempt another lift if I have time.
After playing around with that I started thinking about the power clean WOD and how I should do the first set of cleans.
I hit the clock and did the 16 unbroken in 36seconds then ran 200m just to see what it’s going to feel like. I think that doing the first set unbroken might hurt me in the later rounds but I can’t be sure. The run is going to hurt me either way so I might just take my chances.
As game day approaches I am getting more and more nervous. At the same time I know I will do well and I am confident that I will be pretty competitive on the majority of the workouts.

6am – bacon + eggs
11am – chicken drumstick
2pm – no 2 from salem foods
5pm – 2 chicken drumsticks + 2 mini lara bars
9pm – chicken, sweet potato + veggies
