Today was my last workout on this training cycle. I competing in September so the next 2 months will largely be geared towards getting ready for that.
I feel that all the endurance work I’ve been doing over the last few months has helped me a lot and I’m excited to see it translate when I start testing again. The focus on breathing work has helped me get a lot more comfortable setting a continuous pace during workouts instead of going out of the gate hard and then dying towards the end instead of setting a consistent pace then going up a gear when the end is in sight.
This week will be a little funky cause I’m going to the Games on Thursday and I don’t know how training is going to go while I’m there.
30 seconds max reps clean and jerk @135lbs
30 seconds max reps C2B Pull Ups
30 seconds max reps Burpees
30 seconds row @100%
Rest 10 min
This was pretty tough but the rest time was enough to pretty much fully recover between rounds (which is the point)
Each effort was supposed to be at 100% but I was a little confused about treating each exercise as a true 100% effort as if I really went as fast as possible on the C+J I would have ended up doing 3 pullups etc.
I can say that the pace I did for each 2min piece was as fast as I could maintain for that length of time so I guess thats what was expected.
I’m assuming that by doing it the way I did it gives a better response VS going all out on the C+J and getting 12 reps then 6 pullups then 5 burpees and rowing 80m ???
Always things to think about
C+J – 8,9,9,8,9
C2B – 10,8,9,8,7
Burp – 10,10,10,9
Row – 127m, 155m, 147m, 104m (monitor was off when I got there), 137m
Food of the Day
7am – 5 eggs, bacon, sausage
12:30pm – PWO shake
2pm – chicken + steak salad
6:30pm – chicken + bag of veggies chips
8pm- 3 bud lights
