This really sucked. I was shooting for somewhere in the timeframe of 5-6mins but it wasn’t there today. It wasn’t a strength or anything to do with the movements, it was completely the wind factor. I just couldn’t push myself enough to get through it faster.
The mental side of training is a huge element in CrossFit and it fades very quickly even after a short period of time. I feel almost ashamed of my time on this one as I know that 2 weeks ago I would have got a much better time. This is all part of the game though and I will be repeating this one at a later stage to prove it to myself.

* I went back into the gym for class this evening and practiced some muscle ups again. I have heard more and more about the tope level athletes not using false grip. Namely Rob Orlando and Chris Spealler. I normally use false grip and kind of muscle them out but I had a play around with normal grip and kipping from the bottom and it was much easier to tie them together. I am looking forward to utilizing this technique in my next muscle up WOD.
