Today was ANOTHER day loaded with information. We started discussing energy systems and what kind of workouts are involved when training and testing each of them. We got lots of practice writing workouts with intent and goals of the desired response with each which was good. It’s good to be able to get feedback on things like this and listen to other coaches opinions. In the word of program design I am largely left to my own devices but by getting all this new information and by listening to other coaches I feel like I will be able to service my clients more effectively moving forward.
As with any new learning experience I will likely be making a lot of mistakes in the short term but it’s all part of the learning process.
Tomorrow we will be covering periodization and how to put it all together which I’m excited for.
Another test for myself today at lunch and it was horrible.
