I left Regionals today mid-day to go get my workout in. It’s extremely motivating for me to see all the best guys in the Northeast in competition. I will be out there next year! Thats what I’m training for now.
A) Overhead Squat – 3 -2 -1
I didn’t really warm-up for this as much as I probably should have but managed to get up pretty decent numbers
3@225lbs, 2@245lbs, 1@275lbs – even though my PR is 300 I think getting this close to it is pretty good.
B) Snatch – work to a heavy single – 155lbs, 185lbs, 205lbs, 225lbs, 235lbs, 250lbs – fail x 5
I was extremely stubborn on this. For whatever reason I had it in my head that I could do 250lbs today and I just kept trying it. Jumping up 15lbs was stupid in the first place – I should have even called it at 235lbs coz the lift was so ugly. It was prob a combination of just wanting 250lbs and being really hungover.
C) 30 Power Snatches @155lbs =4:50
I’m pretty happy with this. I did 3 sets of 3 then 1 then 2’s up to 20 then singles to finish. Once again my breathing felt great and I was limited by the fact that I might start failing reps. I still think there is a lot of room for improvement on this one considering I did the first 10 in 1:09.
Food of the Day
8am- 5 eggs + bacon
9-4pm – snacked on random stuff
6pm – BBQ from reebok + couple beers
7pm – chicken + veggies
8pm – couple tequilas
