Straight lifting

So I decided not to rest today after watching a few oly lifting videos on youtube.

I’ve decided to start working the oly lifts a lot more into my own programming again. I really enjoy them, especially the snatch and I think the exercise has a good transference into other areas so I’m going to be doing a lot of them in the coming weeks.

5 x 1 @ 80% = 180lbs

Clean + Jerk
5 x 1 @ 80% = 225lbs

No failed reps -all gravy baby. My collar bone is still hurting on the cleans. I might have to stay light ish on them for a bit.

5 Turkish get ups each side with 55lb KB.

*rest couple hours*

5/3/1 cycle 1 – Back Squat
I’ve heard great things about this program so I’ve decided to test it out on my Squat.
5 @ 65% – 205lbs
5 @ 75% – 235lbs
AMRAP @ 85% – 270lbs – 6 I failed on the 7th rep.

I’m going to do this once a week for a month or so and see if it helps.
