Tonight was my first tester workout. I did the workout at 7:30pm after the last class of the day. I never normally workout this late but I wanted to begin the process of mimicking how I am going to be doing each of the Open Workouts starting next week.
I received my next 2 weeks of programming from Max this morning and I was really excited to hit this one and knew it was gonna be fast and brutal. I’m not used to doing Chin ups (supinated grip) as opposed to pullups (pronated grip) so that was my main issue going in.

I’m disappointed with my time on this. After the first round I couldn’t breathe so I was taking a lot of pity breaks. My legs were burning on the 2nd + third round of Thrusters but nothing that I felt was limiting. It was all breathing related. The Chins were really awkward. This was my first time ever doing CTB chins in a workout and my grip was slipping even in the first round but again I was resting more from being unable to catch my breathe than anything else.
When I finished the last chin I was able to walk away around straight away but it took me a good 10 mins or so to start feeling recovered.
Food of the Day
7:30am – apple, couple pieces sweet potato, protein shake with water + 2 coffees
1pm – steak + veggies + coffee
3pm – steak + veggies + some sweet potatoes (very small amount)
5pm – banana
8pm – post workout shake w coco water + banana
9pm – couple handfuls of nuts
